On Sunday, April 10th we went to a show in Decatur, IL. Overall we did really well. Mitchell only showed his jr solid buck Peanut. He got 1st place out of 3 and was really happy. Keith showed in the youth Champagnes and was the only exhibitor but we did learn some things about the animals from the judge. His 6-8 month old doe named Boo Boo got Best of breed and his sr buck named Cash got Best Opposite Sex. Keith then got to go back out for best of the 6 classes (breeds that have a senior weight over 9 pounds divide the animals into six classes to show). The judge said it was really close between the Californian, Satin, and Champagne (Keith's) but he ended up picking the Californian. We ended up taking the bottle babies to show for the first time as jr bucks and as single fryers. They ended up placing 4th and 8th out of 8 but were competing against Californians and Flordia Whites so we were happy with where they placed. JT3 only placed in 8th because he was a little under weight not right at five pounds
